I created The Hopeful Mind because I know from experience (my clients & my own) that bandaid ‘solutions’ to cover up symptoms simply aren’t good enough. Overcoming chronic insomnia calls for a different approach.
I called this company The Hopeful Mind because I believe in (and belong to) the global movement of practitioners ringing alarm bells about the often neglected relationship between our bodies and our minds, and the impact understanding this can have on our health and wellbeing. I’ve chosen insomnia as the area I can have the most impact on today given my own insomnia story.
Many people are skeptical about the involvement of their mind in their insomnia struggle. This is understandable since insomnia can present with a host of confusing and scary physical symptoms we feel in our bodies like: panic attacks, twitching, jerks, racing heart, night sweats, and of course – not being able to sleep.
Recovery happens when we understand this mind-body connection and learn how to put it into action. As we work together, my clients begin to feel safer and more confident in their ability to sleep again. They feel empowered knowing they can foster their own recovery. And beyond sleeping well again, they learn concepts and skills they can use for the rest of their life.
